CHEERS LAUNCH PARTY

Brew+Bloom Café
10550 115 St NW, Edmonton, AB T5H 3K6
Sunday May 29th, 2022
1:00pm – 3:00pm
Being the first class, this will be the first visual display of what this class is, and how it is executed. Participants will get to do a sample of the class and be a part of the promotional material that will be used in the marketing campaign to launch the regular classes to be offered in the near future.

This event will not be your typical sweat session at the gym, but more of a party vibe. We’re going to dance, make TikToks, provide refreshments and swag giveaways, and you’ll even get an event t-shirt to mark your participation in the start of the hottest new fitness trend in Edmonton.

CHEERS @ The Bar
(fitness)

The Bar Fitness 6009 86 Street
Edmonton, AB T6E 2X4
June 26th, 2022 @ 1:00pm
Although this is a fantastic cardio workout, you'll be having too much fun to even notice how many calories you've been burning. This event will carry on the party vibe from the launch party. The format of the class is 30 minutes of easy to follow cheerleading dance aerobics, followed by choreography for a short TikTok video and an adult beverage "cheers"! This class is an amazing way to network with other women and make new friends while participating in the hottest new fitness trend in Edmonton.

Meet the Founders

Ashlee Wardle

Owner of Smashlee Fit Training and CSEP certified personal trainer. Ashlee’s interest in cheerleading started with the inspiration of her mom’s (co-founder) tenure as an EE cheerleader in the 1970s. Ashlee joined her cheerleading and pom teams during all her years of high school, and at 17 years old, was also coaching the pom team at JD Bracco Jr. high with 3 other teammates. After graduating high school, Ashlee completed her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology at the University of Alberta, and then worked in the recruitment field for several years before turning to a career in fitness.

Ashlee first became involved in the fitness industry because of her love for group fitness but wanted to start with a strong foundation of knowledge. She took the NAIT personal fitness trainer diploma program and has been working as a personal trainer for the past 6 years. Part of her learning curve included entering natural bodybuilding in the bikini category while living in Australia. Ashlee competed again back home in Edmonton with the Canadian Physique Alliance, placing first in her height class.

Aside from one-on-one personal training in the gym, Ashlee believes fitness comes in a variety of forms. Group fitness is an affordable option, and has a special social aspect that Ashlee is excited to offer through CHEERS.

Patti Williams

Patti had been active in tap and jazz dancing for most of her school years. She started cheerleading in high school and in grade 12, auditioned for the Edmonton Football cheer team and was thrilled to become a member of this elite team. After cheering for a few years, Patti became captain and choreographer for many games. Patti retired in the 1980s to pursue a career in nursing and have a family. Patti has remained active in the Edmonton EE cheer alumni as the coordinator and choreographer for the then CHQT cuties of the 70s.

Patti was privileged to perform in the retro football game and several cheer extravaganzas as recently as 2018 and the pink halftime game.

Patti’s philosophy is to bring all women together to support each other, dance together, be healthy and happy.
